John Tilly is a a Railway Signal Engineer with over 40 years experience in such matters. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers and holds a MSc in Railway Systems Engineering. He has had wide ranging experience of railway signal engineering having been employed by London Underground, the Channel Tunnel (during the commissioning), Halcrow Transmark and more recently HM Railway Inspectorate. He has had experience of maintenance, installation, fault investigation and incident management, feasibility studies, maintenance audits, expert witness, regulatory matters, training, level crossings etc.
